Seriously though, I love how Celeste has written this book; in non-legal speak. It’s ground-breaking to be honest. So often legal jargon can stand in the way of us all and especially of Business Owners when we want to rightly protect our ideas; it’s intimidating usually the language and the process. This book Celeste has written demystifies it all from start to finish. I whole recommend investing in a copy ! You’d be blonde not too 😂😅😘

I had an opportunity to read ‘Control Your Copyright, Trade Mark & More....’ by Céleste Reumert Refn. It provided an insight that I was fully able to follow to consider my options for my business. As I am not given to reading technical detail as I lose interest
quite quickly, this book was less effort to read a ndprovided the clarity that I was hoping for. It covers all aspects so it was easy to find the area I was looking for, which was brands. Well recommended.

Intellectual property rights play an enormously important part in modern society. Back in the old days, it may have been possible to run a successful business without knowing anything about intellectual property rights. Now, however, one has to have a basic understanding of them in order to be successful.
This is especially relevant if you are starting up your own business. You will need an internet domain name. Often it will also be a good idea to register your business name as a trade mark. In a number of situations, you can also gain a competitive advantage by focusing on whether the goods that you are going to produce and sell can, in themselves, be protected by an intellectual property right.
And finally, it is very important to make sure that your upcoming business does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others. Otherwise, things can go wrong very quickly. This book is written by my friend, Céleste Reumert Refn. It is aimed at non-lawyers and provides a general, popular introduction to a number of intellectual property law provisions. I think it is well written.
Indeed, in some respects it is even entertaining. For even though intellectual property rights are important, they don’t have to be boring.
